Reflect Planner keeps your plan on your device and needs no account. The only data that reaches us is a record of your purchases, kept by a service called RevenueCat, and any email you choose to send. Apple is involved if you use Apple Intelligence, iCloud sync, or make a purchase.
The short version
Everything you enter — goals, tasks, subtasks, calendar events, repeats, categories, durations, and completion records — is stored by the app on your own device. There is no server of ours for it to travel to. There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile.
One outside service is built into the app: RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your subscription is active. It receives your purchase history and basic technical details about your device, under a random ID. It never receives your plan, your name, your email address, or your Apple Account details.
There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, no analytics of how you use the app, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. Nothing about you is sold or rented.
Apple is involved in three things: Apple Intelligence requests and iCloud sync, which are both optional, and purchases. Each has its own section below.
What the app stores on your device
Reflect Planner keeps a database on the device, containing the plan you build:
- goals, their outcomes, deadlines, categories, and photos
- tasks and subtasks, with their dates, times, and duration estimates
- calendar events, including the ones linked to a task or subtask
- repeat rules and the individual occurrences they produce
- completion records — what was checked off, and when
- your settings and display preferences
This data is written and read by the app on your device. It is not transmitted to the developer, and the developer has no mechanism capable of receiving it. Deleting the app removes its local database from that device, following the platform's normal behaviour; if iCloud sync is on, see the iCloud section for what remains in your own account.
Features that use your data
These work on your devices, between the app and Apple's own apps and services. None of it is sent to us.
- Apple Reminders. With your permission, the app reads your reminders to show them in Planner. It never changes Apple Reminders.
- Apple Calendar. With your permission, the app shows your calendar events in Planner. Events you add, edit, or delete in Reflect Planner are saved to Apple Calendar, but only in the calendars you allow; every other calendar stays read-only.
- Goal photos. You can give a goal a photo. You pick it with Apple's photo picker, so the app receives only the photo you choose, never your photo library. It is stored with the goal, and syncs with the rest of your plan if iCloud sync is on.
- Place search. When you type a place for an event, what you type is sent to Apple Maps to suggest matching places, under Apple's privacy policy. The app never asks for or reads your location.
- Apple Watch. The Watch app shows today's plan, which your iPhone sends to your paired watch. Ticking off a task on the watch sends it back to your iPhone, and the watch face shows what is next.
- Delete Everything. In Settings, Delete Everything removes your plan from this device, your other devices, and iCloud, then starts setup again. Apple Calendar, Apple Reminders, and your subscription are not touched.
What reaches us
Two things, each described in full below:
- a record of your purchases, kept for us by RevenueCat — see RevenueCat
- any email you choose to send us — see Support email
That is all. The app has no analytics framework, no crash-reporting service, and no advertising identifier. It does not send us your plan, how you use the app, your location, or your contacts.
One more channel is worth stating precisely, because it is Apple's rather than ours. If you have chosen to share analytics and crash data with app developers in your device's privacy settings, Apple may make aggregated, non-identifying reports available through App Store Connect — install counts, crash traces, and similar. Those reports never contain the contents of your plan, and they are not linked to you. You control that choice in Settings on your device, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Purchases
Every purchase — a subscription, its free trial, or the lifetime option — is made through the App Store, and Apple processes the payment. Your card, billing address, and Apple Account details go to Apple and never reach us.
Apple also gives us aggregated sales and subscription reports that do not identify anyone. Cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple; the steps are on the support page.
RevenueCat
The app uses RevenueCat, a service from RevenueCat, Inc. in the United States, to know whether you have access. It checks your purchases with Apple and tells the app what is active. It is the only outside service built into the app. It starts when the app opens, whether or not you have bought anything, because checking is how the app finds out.
What RevenueCat receives:
- A random ID the app creates the first time it runs. It is not your name, email address, or Apple Account, and RevenueCat never receives any of those.
- Your purchase history — what you bought and when, your free trial, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. Apple also reports renewals, cancellations, and refunds to RevenueCat directly.
- Technical details sent with each request — an identifier Apple assigns to our apps on your device (it resets if you delete all of them), your device model, system version, app version, language and region settings, and App Store country. Like any request over the internet, it also carries your IP address.
Why. To give you what you paid for, keep it working across reinstalls and devices, and show us how sales are going. It is not used for advertising, and it is not linked to your identity.
How long. RevenueCat keeps the record for as long as we use its service, unless you ask us to delete it sooner — see Your data, your controls.
Where. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf, on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States. Its data processing terms with us include the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for that transfer. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple Intelligence
On iOS and iPadOS 27 or later, optional Assistance and suggestion features use Apple Intelligence through Apple’s Foundation Models framework. Private Cloud Compute handles the primary request. If it cannot serve the request, the app may use Apple’s on-device model.
A request includes what you type and only the plan context needed to prepare that draft. It is processed by Apple’s system or on your device; it is never sent to or stored on a developer-run AI server. Every result is an editable proposal. Nothing is added to your plan until you choose Create or Save.
Apple Intelligence is optional. Turning off “Use Apple Intelligence” in Reflect Planner hides Assistance and model-powered suggestions and blocks model requests. Goals, tasks, planning, and reflection continue to work without it.
iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud for Reflect Planner, your plan syncs between the devices signed in to your Apple Account using Apple's private CloudKit storage — the same mechanism Apple's own apps use.
That data is held in your iCloud account, on Apple's infrastructure, under Apple's terms and Apple's privacy policy. The developer cannot read it, cannot list it, and holds no key to it. No copy is sent anywhere else.
Sync is optional. Turning iCloud off for Reflect Planner in your device settings leaves the app fully functional with everything stored locally on that one device. Removing the app's data from iCloud is done through your device's iCloud storage settings, which is also where you can see how much space it uses.
Support email
If you write to support, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach — a screenshot or a recording, for example.
When you write from inside the app, you can choose to add diagnostics: the app and system version, device model, language, region, time zone, your settings and permissions, and how many items you have — never your titles, notes, or calendar events. The option is off each time you open the page, everything it adds is shown to you before you send, and you can delete any line of it.
That correspondence is used for one purpose: answering you and fixing what you reported. It is not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than support, and it is not passed to anyone else. Our mailbox is hosted by GoDaddy. Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for the issue and any follow-up, and you can ask for your messages to be deleted at any time by replying to the thread or writing to the address below.
Email is ordinary email: it is not end-to-end encrypted in transit between mail providers. Please do not send anything you would not normally put in an email. A description of the problem is almost always more useful than the contents of your plan.
This website
This site sets no cookies, loads no analytics or tracking scripts, embeds no third-party content or fonts, and has no forms. It is a set of static files, hosted by Namecheap. Like every web server, Namecheap's keeps access logs — IP address, time, the page requested, and browser — to run and protect the service. We don't use them to identify or profile anyone.
Who else is involved
Each of these companies handles data only in the role described on this page:
- Apple — the App Store and payments, Apple Intelligence, and iCloud if you turn it on
- RevenueCat — subscription status, as described under RevenueCat
- GoDaddy — hosts our support mailbox
- Namecheap — hosts this website
Any company we share your data with must give it the same or equal protection as this policy describes. There are no advertising networks, analytics providers, attribution services, or data brokers. Your data is never sold.
Legal basis
Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, we rely on:
- Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) for the purchase record, because it is how the app gives you what you paid for.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for seeing how sales are going from that same record, for answering your email, and for the website's server logs — each limited to what that purpose needs.
Children's privacy
Reflect Planner is a general-audience planning app. It is not directed at children, and it is not designed or marketed for them. It requires no account, shows no advertising, contains no third-party content, and offers no way for users to communicate with one another.
The only personal data it involves is the purchase record described under RevenueCat, which works the same way for everyone and is not used to identify anyone, and email someone chooses to send us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and it will be deleted.
Your data, your controls
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Most of your data never reaches us, so most of the controls sit with you:
- Your plan. Everything is visible and editable in the app. Delete items there, or use Delete Everything in Settings to remove your whole plan from every device and iCloud at once. Deleting the app removes its database from that one device only.
- Your purchase record. Email us the Order ID from your Apple receipt (it is also listed at reportaproblem.apple.com), and we will send you what RevenueCat holds for it, or delete it — whichever you ask. Deleting it does not cancel a subscription; do that in the App Store. If you keep using the app, a new record starts the next time it checks your access.
- Sync. Turn iCloud off for Reflect Planner at any time, and manage or remove the app's iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings.
- Correspondence. Ask for your support emails to be deleted, at the address below.
We answer requests within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to Romania's data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or to the authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised text is published at this address with a new "last updated" date. The version on this page is always the current one. A change that materially affects how data is handled will also be noted in the app's release notes.
